Residence proof for passport
Hi,
I am 25 yrs unmarried Hindu girl , working in pune for last 5 years and staying in Hostel. My parents stays in Navi Mumbai and i visit twice in month on weekends. Now i want make Passport whereas it requires residence proof. The house my parents are staying is own house in name of my mother and sister. We have ration on same address including my name.Pls advice society can give me residence proof stating that '' I am daughter of my parents and living here for so many years ( as per ration card date)? Because when i checked with society they says you don't stays here but in pune so we can not issue a letter to you.
Pls advice .

as per passport office rules you are not required to submit any residence proof.What you require to apply for a passport is any one of the following ,ration card/voter card/driving license/any other valid id proof apart from your residence address proof.You can have your father's address,one of the following like ration card/voter card/water bill/electricity bill/letter from your employer if it is a Govt.org or semi or a company registered and listed/etc.Visit for more details.http://passport.gov.in/cpv/checklist.htm

you can apply with the copy of ration card/voter card/ Driving license etc

Yes, there should be no problem for the Society to give you the desired certificate.
You may be eligible for 'residence proof' from both the places as practically you 'live' at both the places - parents' home where your name is included in ration card; and the hostel where you are putting up during your job/working days.
