Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
hello
am a resident of bangalore, india. i work for a reputed company in a management role. recently i have found out that my husband has given my cheques, that he has harrased me & taken, to some unknown business partners, who are now threatening me to clear their amounts, else they will file case against me.i have also files a case against my husband for cheating me & misusing my cheques without my knowledge.. now the unknown business partners have presented the cheques to my bank- whcih I have asked bank to STOP PAYMENT notice.
will law be in the favour of those unknown business partners, as am innocent & havent given the cheques to them, as I have whatsoever no business dealign with them.
pls help clarify
