Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

My sister has filed a case against me that we are a joint family and my mom has purchased a land out of selling the property in Delhi. But the property is in my name . I am the 3 rd daughter to my mom. But is bought by me and it's my money. She claims that the belongs to her . Because it is a joint family. But everyone knows that the property is my own. And we r not joint family also. We live separately .

I have a proof for buying the land. But the agreement value and the registered value is diffetent. Agreement value shows more than the registered value. I have show the proof in the court that I have bought the land for registered value. But my agreements r with my sister. She says that she will produce that in the court. Does this holds good. Does the agreement proves anything.

your only defence in such a situation is that the papers in the hands of sister are forged and fabricated as the second party of the agreement will support your stand and not the agreement in the hands of sister. does she have a copy or the original because orignal, if any, ought to have been destroyed.

in case your sister is able to prove that the property was purchased out of joint family funds, then the nature of property is joint despite its registered on your name. but in case your sister is not able to prove that, you the owner then in that situation. its all a matter of court trial.
