Legal Question in Immigration Law in India

advance parole & H1B

hi,

Presently I am on H1B and have applied for change of status, PR, AP in Oct '08. We have received receipt for all the filings. Suppose I travel abroad in January and am outside the country for a month and during that stay aboard I lose my job and hence H1B status. During that period my husband receives my AP and mails it to me. When I come back can I use AP to re-enter the country? I am concerned as my AP was issued when I was outside the country. But then when AP was issued, I had valid H1B visa. I lost my H1B after AP was issued. Thank you.

Re: advance parole & H1B

Please elaborate your steps further. You may not 'automatically' loose your H1B status on loss of job. Also please clarify on what basis have you applied for change of status/ PR ? You may provide all the details of your case. You may need services of a specialist who may charge for his advice. If you are interested, you may write me e-mail.
