Name change abroad
Im a canadian citizan living in india. I married an indian citizan last june. To legally change my last name to his,how do i do that? Do i do it through canada or india?

for that you may approach the area SDM along with your marriage certificate and execute the necessary documents and also inform FRRO and afterwards declare the same in the daily newspaper. assistance of a local lawyer would be of great help to you. where r u puttin' up?

On the basis of your marriage, you may seek citizenship of India; based upon your Indian citizenship, you may seek name change in India by following proper procedure.
