Legal Question in Immigration Law in India
Change of status from L1 to H1B
I have 2 questions.
1.) Iam on H4 status and recently got my EAD. Can I start working immediately or is there any timelimit for me to start work?
2.) One of my friend came to US on L1 visa. Another company is going to sponsor his H1B. If his H1B petition got approved, can he change his status from L1 to H1 and start working for the new company which sponsored his H1B? Else is there any other process involved? If so, can you tell about the procedure.

You can start working on the EAD now, but be sure to also get your social secuity number. Your friend cannot start working for the new company until the H-1B is approved. Apply now, numbers are running low.
