Legal Question in Immigration Law in India
Domicile eligibility
We are Indian parents and Domicile of Maharashtra. Our son holds a US passport by birth but has been in India doing his schooling and Junior college since 1993.
Is he eligible for a Domicile certificate? Since it is only the proof of stay , nationality should not matter, I guess.
Please let me know

Re: Domicile eligibility
No, a foreigner cannot be eligible for a domicile certificate. If he may want his domicile certificate, he may first seek Indian citizenship by surrendering US citizenship.
