Legal Question in Immigration Law in India
Dual Citizenship
Hello,
I'm an Indian national and was
married to a Kenyan national (man)
for 5yrs. Recently we've been
divorced and I have my 4yrs
daughters custody who was born in
Kenya.
Keeping in view possible remarriage
and business prospects in Kenya, I'd
like to know if it would be possible to
have ''Dual Citizenship'' for my
daughter?
I'd greatly appreciate any advice.
Thanks & Regards.

Re: Dual Citizenship
Your daughter may be entitled to decide about her citizenship rights on attaining majority. Meanwhile, you may continue her Kenyan citizenship and obtain the PIO Card from Indian embssay or approach the Department of Overseas Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, for appropriate guidance.
