Yes the foreigner can marry an indian woman on resident visa but cannot buy property individually . There is a way in which foreigner can buy property(ies) and to explain the procedure would take a while but individually or in his name ,he cannot buy.
a foreigner can buy properties in india with the permission of Reserve Bank of India and for that you need to hire a lawyer and he would explain you the process. as you married to an indian national, it would be easier for you to own a property here.
a foreigner can buy property in india individually.immovable property may be purchased by a foreign national residing outside India to carry on a business activity with the approval of the Reserve Bank, the country's central bank.
you need assistance of a lawyer for all legal perspective
things wuld be easier as u are married to an indian citizen .
