is it legal to use ex-husband's name as surname after divorse in india

Already replied.
Coz u got maintenance so you can use his surname.
But as you got divorce hence he may restrain you not to use his surname and use only your fathers surname.
But there is no such law who describe your query.

Its not correct to use your ex husbands surname after the Divorce.
