Legal Question in Immigration Law in India
Police verification failed for want of address proof and passport has been asked to surrendered. What is the remedy for this situation. When police verification happened, I was out of town.

Make a representation to the authorities - Passport department; and the Police. For verification your presence was not required; verification is done from neighbours. You should inform your neigbours, whose names/addresses you have mentioned in the passport form, about police verification.
