Dear Arul,
(Narasinganpettai, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu)
The online passport application form on www.passportindia.gov.in allows you to upload 4 supporting scanned documents and several options for each are clearly specified when you are updating information in the online application form.
You will have to secure your appointment at the select Passport Seva Kendra closest to your place of residence and on the appointed date, submit the original of the scanned uploaded supporting along with a xerox for their record. Your XIIth Standard Passing HSC Certificate or higher has also to be uploaded if the ECNR - Emigration Check Not Required stamp is to be affixed on your Passport.
In the tatkal process, the Passport is delivered to you within 5 working days.
