visa interview

i have my visa interview in mumbai consulate to go to california . and thy require my birth certificate at the time of interview but there is a mistake in name on my birth certificate what should i do to say them that i am the same person as the name on my passport and birth certificate .i am from mumbai. please help

Plz send me your detail. You can get it rectify from MC within few days. Else you have to take any other date of proof like your matriculation certificate etc. else they may make any objection.
