Legal Question in Insurance Law in India
Dear sir thanks for your clarification. please note that am a bachelor and have six blood sister and one blood brother. In such scenario, I would like to adopt this lady as my younger sister, and am advised that I cannot adopt legally, but still prefer to gift my foster sister. please advise. or is is possible to assign my policy in her name.

you can not adopt 'sister'. As per Indian adoption act, you can adopt a child of opposite sex provided the age gap is min 21 years. you can make an will where all the money from insurance will go to her/ assign the insurance
