Legal Question in Insurance Law in India
can nominate a person other than my relatives, for insurance policy. As I have cordially adopted a lady as my sister(38), who is mother of 2 children and living with her husband. I prefer to nominate her in my proposed lic policy, in the event of my death. Please clarify. If it is so what are the procedure to be followed. if it is not permissable, what are the other measures to make her beneficiary on my death. my age is 47 years

you can nominate any person (to receive money on yr death), but pl understand right of legal heir supercedes than that of nominee and he/she is always entitled to get money even from nominee. Nominee is just to receive money
