Legal Question in Insurance Law in India
Hi There,
My car was stolen in Mar2011 from Gurgaon, India. I filed the claim with insurance company but I did not get it yet since the court did not provided the untrace report till Jan 2012. Now I got the information from police that they have found the car in Allahabad. Insurance company is forcing me to claim the car. but I did not want car since it must be badly damaged for around 10 months now. I want insurance amount only but insurance company do not agree. Is there any law which could help me here? Please advice.

in case the car is traced, you may have to take it back and the damage, whatever is done, would have to be compensated by the company. in case they do not do so, you may approach the consumer forum.
