Legal Question in Intellectual Property in India
Under the design act of India, registration is required for the whole object or parts of the objects? or both can be registered?
eg: if i evolve a new and original crane. Am i suppose to get the whole crane registered or parts of it which are new and original like bonnet etc?

Advisable to get the whole thing - and mainly the unique thing - in it - registered.

I would suggest that the unique parts of your crane design may be applied or yiu can apply for the whole new design of the crane you have developed stating the novelty of your design and its difference from the existing ones.
