Legal Question in Intellectual Property in India
I have a doubt regarding to what is copyrighted in a maths book. Would anyone be allowed to take a reasonable number of questions from a particular maths book and reprint with other set of questions in their book? Atleast modify a little and then sell it? If questions can be copyrighted, how can anyone ensure that the framed question does not pre-exist before?

Most of the subjects like mathematics are formulae based,so problems in such subjects are not one's own property but reproduction of a copyright protected books may be an infringement.Anybody may compile from those books but cannot reproduce as it is.
