The custody issues require several facts, including but not limiting to : (a) age/gender of the child; (b) financial and social status of both parents and grand parents; (c) the education of the child; (d) proximity of the child with each parent from the date of birth till the filing of custody application;

Besdies, there may be several factors for the court to determine a custody issue, the paramount consideratin being the 'welfare of the child'.
