IP (Trade marks)

If I have a trade mark registration in any one of the CTM countries then does that automatically designate my trade mark as a CTM?

Re: IP (Trade marks)

No, Your trademark will not get automatically registered as CTM trademark. For that you have to get your trademark registered under Madrid Agremeent, by filing a seperate CTM application. There is a seperate procedure for getting CTM registration. You have to file sepearate application and have to pay seperate fees for that.

A CTM registration covers the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
