I want to know whether the law is against storing of pirated mp3 songs & movies on the hard disk? Also punishment for the offence

The very act of illegal copying / pirating songs and movies is an offence under the Copyright Act and the Trade & Merchandise Act. However, the offence is compoundable depending upon gravity.
