software ownership by office
I have developed a software entirely at home in my free time and not using any govt resources which was used at office for by me to increase my output.Can office now claim owership due use of software on Govt M/c or activity pertains to office function.There is also an effort to relate it to inventions under this heading as per regulations navy.What is the difference between inventions and sotware development.

Can you be more specific? Are you working in the Indian Navy? Is the computer at home provided to you by the Indian Navy? Did you develop the software as part of an office project as you have used it in the office or unrelated to any office project? Specifically are you assigned to develop this type of software in the office?
