There is no legal restriction on remittance by a USA resident to her father in India.
You may instruct your Bank to 'wire transfer' the money to India and the Bank will arrange credit directly in your father's account.
If you need more information about banking, please write again about your location and I will try to help you out because some of the Banks in USA do not handle international transactions.
