Legal Question in Employment Law in India
1. I Gurkirpal Singh S/o S Surinder Singh appeared for the exam conducted by PSTCL, Patiala (Punjab Government) for JE electrical held on 31/03/2012 in evening shift (against CRA No. 01/PSTCL/2011) under roll number 31032243 in general ex-serviceman dependent category.
2. I qualified the same exam with 50 marks with overall combined merit rank 112.
3. Documents are verified for the same post on 11/06/2012. I appeared for the document verification, but I was not able to produce my ex-serviceman dependent certificate for the above said post due to some reasons.
4. During the document verification it was told to me by authorities that as per rules now I would be eligible only for general category and I could not claim for the above said post under general ex-serviceman dependent category in future and if the merit will go up to my rank in general category only then I would be eligible for the above said post.
5. Now PSTCL Patiala uploaded the 5th call on 16/11/2012 on their website for document verification of JE Electrical which will be scheduled on 20/11/2012 up to 113 general merit rank skipping my 112 rank from the list, may be considering my 112 combined merit rank as general ex serviceman dependent candidate .
Now I want to know whether I am eligible for the above said post under general category or not as per latest Punjab government reservation policy. As Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited have already mentioned in their recruitment advertisement that category once filled by candidate in application form will not change.
