The building and other construction workers welfare cess act,1996

Who has to pay the cess to the welfare board, whether the

contractor or the owner of the company. Whether the cess amount can be realised from the bill of the contractor by the principal employer?

Every employer is required to pay the Cess @ 1 % of the cost of construction to the Delhi Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

contact the labour commissioner - he is in charge of enforcement
