In case of a fraud by a builder in my small coop bank in Bengaluru, my officer had got some NOCs signed by me as per the pressure by the Regional Head on the day of my taking charge of the branch. Even the officer who prepared the paper given statement that it was under duress from the regional head. The bank has charged 19 officers for flimsy mistakes/processing by the officers. I was asked to visit a property of the borrower, and submit recommendation ( loan was not processed by me but sactioned by RO and processed by RO), which I did confirming my visit to the property. Bank is questioning me for visiting the property and recommending in the visit report, which is not a mistake according to me. But some one played in this and got a show cause issued to me also amongst others. I was the person who blasted this builders fraud even against life threat to me by this builder, which was known to the Regional Head at that time but no action against the builder. The RH is under suspension and charge sheeted alongwith the Branch Manager who was part of this episode. Can the bank charge me and other innocent officials for doing their routine work. Despite my requests the bank had not initiated any action against the builder with a fear of loosing the big loan amount which he had taken on behalf of the borrowers who were paid commission by him. Kindly advise.

you may approach the court against the wrongdoer.
