Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Can a company deny an option of paying salary in lieu of notice? Say for eg , the notice period in my current organization is 3 months and I decide to leave. Say if I want to pay off the notice period and not serve it , can the company deny saying that we will not accept the payoff option and you will have to serve three months.
Please suggest

Normally not unless the language in the contract may so warrant. However, there are compelling reasons for the company not to leave you before expiry of notice period, you may discuss the situation and try reaching an amicable settlement.
