Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Can company force to resign? And our we eligible for compesation ?
our manager has asked me and my friend to resign immediately just because we were not with him at the time of purchasing official shirts in shopping mall .at present we are in ahmedabad with rest of our colleagues (total no-9) on workshop training and this incident took place last evening .And since then he has been forcing us to check out hotel and leave for kolkata our home town ,and our service department is also there .
What legal step can we take in this cicumstances as this is not the valid reason to resign .our we eligible for any kind of compensation if legal step is taken from our side ??

Dear Sir / Madam, (24 North Parganas, West Bengal)
No ... Going by the facts of the matter, the Manager ought to have given sufficient prior advance written intimation of his / her intention to you and your friend, that you both are required to remain present at the time of purchases. If that has not been done, you can send a polite reply stating that you were busy preparing for the workshop training in Amdavad the previous day, and hence you were not in a position to remain present for purchasing. Has the Manager put it in writing asking you to resign ? Knowing the exact text wording of his request is important.
Compensation is far away ... and is to be looked at only after a decision in the matter is reached.
