Company put me in PIP and threaten me to terminate
I need your help,Iam working for a company since 2.4 years and my over all exp is 13 + yrs, I had a annual appraisal and my boss told me that I have got less rating and hence I will be put in the Performance Improvement Action plan and the duration given is 2 months they have set a 6 goals which I need to succeed if i want to be in the company or else I may be terminated.last year I had got good ratings and after the last years annual appraisal they moved me to different group saying verbally that I may be promoted but since this group is near to close in the company instead of saying we are closing this group they are blaming us saying you have not performed well and need to under go PIP though I was a good performer last year.since this was new group to me they had not provided any training and guidence to enable me now my bos says I have not done well its baseless because before my appraisal he used to appriciate verbally now since they want to close the group he changed the tone and gave so bad rating, I m award wineer.my query is how can I retain my job in the company and if I dont reach to the goals setforPIPcantheyterminateme?if they terminate can they give my relieve letter&compensation&canIgotocourtandfilethecase against

Only if you are a workman covered under the Industrial Disputes Act, you may challenge your termination as per relevant labour laws.
