Delayed Full n Final Settlement
Hi Sir,
I worked in a company based in India.I resigned on 15 Sept, 2008 and served the notice period as per the company policy i.e. one month. I did not get the pay of September as well as half month salary of Oct. They asked me to do the full and final settlement within in 15 days9 after last day) which has already gone. I mailed them for the delay and them the specific date on which they replied( on phone) that it would take atleast 15 daysof time which may take even more.
I believe this is all because of personal problems of my manager who is one of oldest employee in the company. I have two questions:
1. Should they hold more 1 month of salary before final settlement. ? In my case, I am entitled to 1.5 month salary as well 24 days Paid leaves.
2. How much delay they can make legally ?

Any delay on their part is illegal. However, you may not rush to a legal remedy which may be expensive and time consuming; better to be cool and wait.
