disiplinery action against an employee
can my employers take disiplinery action against me if i remain absent for a single day when my departments central a.c. system went out of order & working in that tremendous heat( i am working as a weaver in a textile mill) where proper ventilation is non existant & workers suffocate when a.c. is out of order. i am 43 yrs old & high b.p. patient.my employers are planning to to take such actions against me for above mentioned reasons, please advice me. thanks.

Yes,if you remained absent without leave or reason or even after joining did not gave application for leave stating reason of your absence.

disciplinary action ... did you mean.. willful abstainance from work! ... or leave.. no action can be take all of a sudden .. in service matters.. notice has to given ... all things proceed later..

yes they can take a disciplinary action but cant be on that serious moves as these are day to day problems so they would sort it out personally with you
