Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Employee Rights
Hello Mam/Sir,
In 2005 June was forced to resign by a Multinational IT company in bangalore. This company extracted the resignation from me by scaring me about spoiling my career. After 2 days of my resignation I sent sent a mail to senior management in the company and they assured me of justice. Nothing happend during my notice period. 24th July was my last day. On 22nd when I did not complete my exit formalities, my access to company/resources was curtailed. The company did not issue me releaving letter even after several requests and also my form 16( Income Tax) . The company issued me releaving letter after almost an year. I could secure any other job because of the lack of the releaving letter.
I want to file a law suit and want to understand what laws cover my rights.
Thanks,
Shailaja.

Re: Employee Rights
In regard to non-issuance of form-16 you may lodge complaint with Income Tax deptt..In relation to your rest query you may file suit for Mandatory Injunction and damages.
