Exploitation of pregnant woman by employer
Sir,
I am working in a big Indian IT MNC in Noida, India. I am pregnant and currently 7th month is going on. I am entitled to take maternity leave for 12 weeks but starting 6 weeks before due date.
As soon as my project manager came to know that I am pregnant he pushed me out from the project by saying that after sometime you will be of no use for us and I don't want to do resouce planning again and again.
Now HR manager is asking me to take Leave Withour Pay until my maternity leaves starts otherwise I may be sacked.
HR also said ... even if you are not sacked this time then you will be in trouble when you come back after maternity leaves.
I am in high tension because of these incidences of job insecurity. This may affect my baby and my health also.
What should I do?
Please advice.

You may need to take appropriate steps as per your contract of service.
Keeping into view the health of your child, you may better take rest and go for whatever leave is available.
