Forceful termination

Hi,

My HR manager told me to resign,I know In this is recession time so many employees were fired but my performance was good I worked so hard but because of a lady I was fired and they told me you are a poor performer.

They told me sever a 1month notice and then resign.

I know this is all because of cast and gender I don't know what should i do kindly advise whether i can take a help of a lawyer or also i read one article on your site about Unemployment Compensation.

Kindly help me what should i do in this critical condition as there is no more job @my place because of recession.

Abhay, the 'forced unemployment' or 'illegal retrenchment' compensation may be available only if you are covered within the definition of 'workmen' under the Industrial Disputes Act.

However, even that may involve you in litigation.

Depending upon your situation, I would advise you to avoid litigation; and accept the situation; it may be better to be free from hangover and search for a new job.
