Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Hi,
I had a query regarding the bond which my company has imposed on me. They took a cheque of Rs: 2 lakhs which is signed by me and no date mentioned and the bond tenure is 2 years. But now i want to leave after 5 months. So what could be the legal actions that the company can take if I leave without paying the bond amount ?
What will be the process my company will have to undergo to recover the bond amount from me?

Subject to the terms of bond, the company will have to serve upon you a notice asking you to join the services or else demanding from you the amount under the bond. Once you fail to comply with the notice, the company will have to file a civil suit for recovery of the amount. In such civil suit, you will be served with the claim by the court, giving you an opportunity to contest the claim, if you so desire.
