Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Hi
I had recently joined an Indian company HCL Technologies on 25th October 2010. It has been two weeks since I have joined the company. I have participated in a induction program for two days followed by a week of working on bench.
In the mean time, I have received another offer from a Cognizant technologies.
My current manager at HCL is not ready to leave as there is a two month notice period
Can I leave my employment at HCL and (run away) to Cognizant. What are the legal problems that I can face

at the most u will be liable to pay 2 months salary and for that HCL has to file a suit for recovery and most of the companies do not do that.
have you been issued any letter of appointment or are there terms in writing in such appointment letter. One need to look at that before any opinion is formed
