Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Hi,
I work in an IT company and currently I am on notice period after resignation. My last working day falls on Apr 8, 2011. However, the company has withheld my salary for March 2011 without any prior information. Mails and phone calls to finance and Human Resource department are unanswered.
My question is:
1. Can the company with hold salary during notice period when there are no expected dues from employee.
2. Can they withhold salary without any intimation.
3. What are the implications of this delayed payments on PF money.
Are these acts leagally valid?

no the company cant do this. seek an assistant of a lawyer to send them a legal notice if they dont respond to your any wrtten communication.
