Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Hi

I was working in a company as a software engineer. I have signed a contract with the company for 1 and half year with a signed cheque .

But i left that company due to harassement without completing the tenure for 1 and half year

Now they have sent me a legal notice under section 138 for the cheque dishonour .

Please suggest me what should i do as the honour is saying they have given me the training but i have already 2 and half years of experience in the relevant field.

Thanks

it would need to be contested before the court. it would further depend whether or not you had a bond with them.

You have only received a Legal Notice... File a legal reply first .... this would helkp you in case of further litigation before the court. you need to consult a lawyer.

no criminal case u/s 138 may sustain in this situation as the cheque was not paid for any debt or liability. in case the company is to recovery training cost, they may file a recovery suit against you. you may go for quashing of the summons in case they file the complaint.
