Whether HO merged with Factory falls under Shops & Establishments Act
Our Head Office was previously situated elsewhere but now it is merged with the factory and is currently located within the Factory premises.
We are giving one and a half day weekly holiday as per ''Shops & Establishment Act'' to those employees shifted from the Head Office only, but the others are not prviledged with the same.
We are facing a lot of Industrial Relation problem from those who are not permitted with the said facility.
Can we change the same, or can we restructure our procedures as given below?
Original timings - 8.30a.m. to 5.00 p.m (with half day holiday for HO employees), 6 days a week with half an hour rest interval.
Change timings - 9.00.m. to 5.00p.m. with half an hour interval for 6 days a week.
All of the above are working inside factory premises.
Please advice.

since it is a factory, please refer to Section.51 to 54 of the factories Act 1948 you will get your reply.
