Legal Question in Employment Law in India
i was joined in a NBFC in may 2007.after 6 month probation i was conformed in dec2007. recently i was resign on 6 dec 2009 with 1 month notice period, because my mother is suffring from bad health and i am only son to care for her.but i never go to my office during my one month notice period because my mother was expired on 8 dec 2009. after compleation of my one month notice period on 5 jan 2010 i got a settelement sheet from my employer, as per settelement sheet employer treat my notice period as LOP and make recovery from me wether i was informed to my supervisor that my mother was expired on 07 dec 2009 and i am unable to attend the office durind the notice period. is there any rules like that and what can i do in that condition ? please guide me with your right openion.

You may not be entitled to any salary for your absence period. try to settle the issue amicably without considering litigation as an option.
