We are manufacturing company having our factories at Coimbatore and Gummudipoondi, Chennai. Recently we have opened an office at Chennai, please let me know whether the office to be covered under shop & establishment act

What activities to be performed at such chennai office ?

If its a branch office/ registered office / premises of company from where movement of goods are effected or invoices are issued , then in that case u need to take registration under excise.

If its a retail outlet then you need to take the Registration under Shops and establishment.
