Releieving letter and final settlement

Dear sir,

I resigned from my previous employer on 3rd oct 08 giving them 15 days notic period and asked them to adjust the rest from my leave or i was ready to pay the rest notice period money,as per 3 months notice period they were asking .Now they told me that i have to serve one month notice atleast as per latest service book which was distributed to employee in nov-08 but publication date wa mentioned oct-08 .But in my appointment letter it was clearly mentioned that i have to work for 3 months or have to pay 3 months notice period money .Now i approached them several times but they are not responding. Now i sent several reminders ,so i want to threaten them for sending a legal notice. Please advise how should i write ?

You have a strong case. You may consult a local lawyer who would assist you in preparing a notice which can be sent under your letterhead.
