please tell me my rights
I was working with a mnc bpo and resigned on health grounds due to ulcers caused due to the night shifts i did in the company. The appointment letter has a clause of a 3 mth notice period or basic pay in lieu.
I didn't serve the notice period as per the appointment letter.
The company has withheld my relieving letter till i dont pay the notice period basic salary to them. do i need to pay them.?
If 'yes'; then is there any compensation that i am entitled to as the health condition is due to working night shifts in the company itself.
Since the resignation was on health grounds caused due to working shifts in the company itself .
The second reason i resigned was the constant mental harassment and attitude issues of my team leader.
In fact the person would go to an extent on commenting on my high salary and how lucky i was to get that kind of money.This was done at three instances.
He also stated that the company can ask me to quit due to my past performance.
which initiated me to resign.However during exit interview HR cnfd that he had no right to state so.
I havent recd my relieving letter till date...i resigned in last week of december 2004.
Please let me know my rights?
