Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Service Period in my company
Due to the slowdown in the software market, my company has told that, it would not be able to pay my salary starting from October, 2008. And I have decided to resign. Can I demand for notice period. There is a cluase in the offer lette given to me with heading ''Notice Period For Termination of Services''.
it says, ''The notice period for termination of your services is 60 by either side and/or salary in lieu of notice period on part of the company only''. What does this statement mean? Can I demand for notice period/60 days salary? Please advice me.

You may raise a demand; However, a legal battle may not be viable.
In the business world usually such measures may be taken when the company may suffer losses;
