Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Sir, recruitment for the post of primary teacher in Delhi Government was advertised on employment news whose closing date for submission of the application form was 12-08-2008. My wife applied for the said post and finally selected but after a month the DSSS Board has rejected her candidature on the ground that she has deposited her application form after the cut off date i.e. 12-08-2008. In RTI reply, we got the photocopy of the application form, thereafter we comes to know that she had inadvertently wrote the wrong date on the application form i.e. 11-10-2008. She deposited the application fee through IPO whose date of issue was 08-08-2008 and she also enclosed an attested additional photograph of her on the date of 10-08-2008. Actually, while filling up the application form the month of August haunted her mind in numerical No. 10 instead of 8. The board has not cross checked its record. Now if we go to the court, can we got the justice.

Yes, you may first make a representation to the Board; and then go to court, if required.

you have a strong case against the board and likely to get justice in case other requirements are met with.
