Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Sir,

I am working for NBFC since 3 yeras as Associate on contract basis.I have not been absorbed as permanent employee so far.My contract period expired in Mar'10 and again the company renewed my contract for 1 year that too from May to Apr.

I don't want to accept the new renewal and want to quit.

Shoul I have to give prior notice for quiting the job or can I quit by short notice

Did you accept the contract when it was renewed in March10 ? If you have, then you shall have to follow the conditions laid therein before quitting the job. Else you can quit straight away.
