Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Regarding Termination of Contract

I am presntly working as an Asst. Sound Recordist in a Studio. Its been around 2 months now. At the time of signing up of the contract it was mentioned that i am on 6 months probation period. After a month i got the appointment letter in which probation clause was not mentioned. Instead it was mentioned to terminate the services by giving 3 months of prior notice.

Now i am having some personal reasons to quit the job. I had plans to do freelance work alongside but am not able to adjust with the current environment as there are no flexible timings. Also, I don't need the reference of the studio as i am not planning to join anywhere in future and want to start my own freelance work.

First i planned to leave the studio in between by giving two weeks notice which will end on 31st of this month. Later on someone suggested me to leave after i receive the paycheck and once it gets cleared by giving resignation without serving notice period as they might stop my salary and will not pay also. The salary period is from Day 01 - end of the month and we get salary around 1 st week of the month.

So please provide me appropriate suggestion to take the necessary steps to maintain a good relationship and also leaving the job without notice.

Re: Regarding Termination of Contract

You should inform them of your intention by a pleasantly worded letter and request for payment of your dues.
