Legal Question in Employment Law in India
We are a Testing and Inspection company for which a minimum wages have been earmarked for respective states which we are paying. We work in different industries as per requirement. We are currently working in a chemicals factory for conducting environment tests on behalf of the company and the minimum wage rates applicable for scheduled employment within the same state is higher than what we pay. Are we require to pay the minimum wages applicable to the particular industry ?
