i worked in a private firm for approx 01 year and my provident fund was deducted by the firm. i was given a PF number. further i moved to another private establishment and i was allotted a new PF number and my earlier PF could not be carried forward. Is it possible to get my old PF balance at present.

Ideally, your PF ought to have been transferred by your previous employer to your current employer. Since that has not been done, you may apply for refund of the entire PF deducted by your previous employer.
