Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I was working with Pel Softlabs Pvt. Ltd. on 13th Jan 2010 I've got my salary cheque which I take & come back to my home. But on the same day there was a meeting in our company. But I dont want to attend that meeting because most of the time our company use to call a meeting at 6pm & they relieve us at 12:00am or 12:30am or 1:00am Actually I want to leave that company but dont want to tell them because i want to wait till my cheque clearance & I lied that I've met with an accident & one of my leg is broken. Now I am getting information that my cheque is being stop by the company. Most of the time they do same with so many employees eihter they dont give the cheque or they simply compel them to resign wihtout salary . So sir please tell me what to do? I lied because I want my salary.. Now what should I do please sir tell me..

First present the cheque to your banker and see if it is bounced. Don't hold on the cheque for the reasons of the information received by you.
